Create a group order easily with our QR code shared ordering feature!

Step 1: Enable Shared Ordering

Note: Shared Ordering works per location and is not available for multi-location orders at this time.

1. Go to Order With Flavor dashboard → Store Settings → Shared Ordering.
2. Toggle the following settings:
   • Shared Ordering – Enables the feature for the location.
   • Enable Text Message Notifications to Owner of Shared Order – Sends a text to the owner every time a member adds items to the shared order.
     • The owner must provide their phone number when creating the shared order to receive notifications.

Expected Behavior of Shared Ordering Feature

1. Initiating a Shared Order

• Customer scans the QR code at their table.

• They are directed to the Order With Flavor menu.

• A pop-up modal displays before the menu:

  “Hello! Would you like to create a shared order with your party?”

  • Options: Yes or No
  • This modal appears only on the initial QR scan or menu page reload, not on every refresh.

2. Customer Chooses "Yes"

1. If text notifications are enabled in settings, a modal asks:

   "If you would like to receive a text message when someone adds an order to the shared order, please fill in your phone number."

   • If a phone number is provided → Owner receives notifications.
   • If left blank → No notifications are sent.

2. Next, a modal displays:

   "Scan QR code or copy and share this link with your party so they can add their items to the group tab! Please note you are the owner of this tab and the only one who can place orders and make payment."

   • Options to scan QR code or copy the link to share.
   • Anyone with the link can add items, but only the owner can place the order.

Important: Clicking "Yes" makes this customer the owner of the shared order.

3. Customer Chooses "No"

• Modal closes.
• Customer can browse the menu and place a non-shared order.
