The steps outlined below will be critical to making sure that the passcode doesn’t show up, the kiosk screen won’t go dark, and users won’t be able to exit the Kyoo Kiosk app.
Turn off your passcode
(Ensures your customers don’t encounter a lock screen)
- Go to Settings , then depending on your model, tap one of the following: Face ID & Passcode, Touch ID & Passcode, or Passcode.
- Tap Turn Passcode Off
Turn auto-lock to ‘Never’
(Ensures your screen never goes dark and never turns off)
- Go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-lock → Never
Turn on Guided Access Mode
(Ensures that customers cannot click out of the app)
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access, then turn on Guided Access.
- Tap Passcode Settings → Set Guided Access Passcode, then enter a passcode write this passcode down.

- Return to the app and hit the center button three times to prompt guided access mode, hit start
- To exit guided access mode, hit the button again three times and enter the password
- Once you’re ready to take orders, head to the order screen, put the kiosk in guided access mode and begin taking orders!
